About Carolyn Clifton Hill

Carolyn Clifton Hill is a former Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders who learned firsthand that dreams worth chasing often come with unexpected detours.

Her journey to the squad included two rejections before finally hearing “yes” — a process God used to teach her about perseverance, identity, and trusting Him through both the highs and the lows. What looked like delay at the time became preparation, shaping her character far beyond the uniform she would one day wear.

Carolyn lived out her dream during the unforgettable era of Troy Aikman, Emmitt Smith, and Deion Sanders, an experience she now reflects on with deep gratitude for what God was doing behind the scenes.

Before and after her time as a cheerleader, Carolyn spent several years performing in music shows in Branson, Missouri, and Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Those seasons on stage helped cultivate her love for worship, storytelling, and encouraging others through music.

Today, Carolyn lives in Branson, Missouri, with her husband — her favorite travel partner — Dr. Jerod Hill, and their two sons, Connor and Dylan. Faith and family are her greatest treasures, and she is grateful for every opportunity to share God’s goodness with others.

Carolyn’s greatest passion is sharing Jesus. She loves leading worship, encouraging women through Pure Joy women’s conferences, and serving in women’s ministry at her church. Whether she’s on a stage or sitting across from someone in a small group, her heart is the same: helping others find joy, hope, and their God-given identity in Christ.

The Devotional
